An un-post

And now I have that wretched song in my head (and just in case it wasn’t in your head yet, here you go: a very merry un-birthday to you, to you; a very merry un-birthday to you, to you).

I don’t really feel like blogging today. I’m having an off day, knitting wise. I was working on one of the egg cozies from Weekend Knits and it just wasn’t working out for me, so I frogged part of it. Now I’ve cast on for the mini-stocking out of a Knitted Stocking pattern book. I’ve recently joined an ornament exchange on my non-knitting message board I belong to, and I’m trying to figure out what I want to knit for it. Nothing feels right just yet.

Yesterday I worked a few rows on my Harlot2 poncho, but nothing too extreme. I also KIP’d a little yesterday. I arrived early to my 1/2 day sub job, and the teacher said I could just wait in the lounge for an hour, so I worked on it in the teacher’s lounge. A teacher stopped in and commented on it and said she was a knitter as she fondled my yarn LOL. I always feel embarrassed knitting in public, I don’t know why. I know that I *shouldn’t* feel embarrassed, I just do. Listed some more things on ebay– mainly just cookbooks this time around, although the yarn and Rebecca mag are still up as well.

Just feeling blah. Thanks for the e-card SP2– I’ll be on the lookout for a package! I can’t wait πŸ™‚ And I didn’t get anything via email from Amazon SP3… hope I didn’t accidentally delete it, although I don’t think I would have! Speaking of which, I’m sure my secret pals are feeling very neglected, although I’ll be mailing them each out a package either tomorrow or at the latest, early next week (although a bit late, better late than never, right?).

Tonight is another episode of Lost. I’m pretty much down to only watching tv 2 or 3 nights a week, usually Wednesday, Thursday and sometimes Friday. We finally finished Season 4 of The Sopranos– great finale for the season– last night, and this morning I watched Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (ok), and Calender Girls (pretty darn cute and good!). I recently signed up for a free month trial of Blockbuster’s version of Netflix. (Use code “cooper” for a free month instead of just 2 weeks– no affiliation or referral, just a tip!).

Currently, there’s been a little drama in the blogging world. If you know what I’m referring to, just nod your head in agreement. Personally, I have my own opinions of a certain blogger (who shall remain nameless), and think sometimes people do things as publicity stunts, but I do want to say this: no blogger owes anyone anything. I think it’s nice when people express their concerns, but no one owes anyone their time to continue blogging if they don’t wish to. To think that someone must continue blogging just because people expect you to is ridiculous. No one owns a blogger’s time. It is not “selfish” for someone to stop blogging, it is merely a personal choice– one shouldn’t have to think of their readers! There are many, many blogs out there, people! Lots of them deserve just as many readers. No, not mine necessarily, but I certainly love the readers I do have πŸ™‚

I’m fixing Crockpot Mac & Cheese for dinner tonight and it smells so good. Since it’s a recipe of my making, I’ll share it with you.

Lisa’s Fabulous Crockpot Mac & Cheese

1 16 oz box Macaroni, cooked to package directions

1 8 oz package Sharp Cheddar Cheese

1 8 oz package Mild Cheddar Cheese

1 can condensed Cheddar Cheese soup

1 large can Evaporated Milk

2 c. regular milk

Dump all ingredients in crockpot and stir until blended. Cook on low for about 4 hours and serve.

Boy, I think this just became a post instead of an un-post. I will leave you with a picture of Patches, since he is feeling jealous of all the attention Marzi has been getting. (He does sleep with us every night though and Marzi doesn’t).
