Update with Picture!

I still have all the ends to weave in, and the underarms to sew, but I couldn’t resist pulling it on for a quick picture. (yes quick; it’s 80 degrees and we don’t have a/c) So please pardon the goofy, non made-up face in the picture.

First up, I’ll show you where I was on the pattern way back, I think, in February.

And here’s me just after binding off, mere minutes ago.

Pre-blocking, it’s a little snug over my t-shirt, but it should be just about perfect after I sew everything in and block it 🙂 🙂 Yippee! Too bad we’re finally having summer weather LOL.

Ugh. I’m still sick. I actually don’t feel TOO bad during the day, but I’m not sleeping at all with me having to blow my nose constantly, take Antihistamines every 4 hours, and with Jason nudging me because of my snoring. Not too fun. I worked in an elementary school yesterday and wore my Sitcom Chic; one of the other substitute teachers recognized that it was a handknit and complimented me on it 🙂 Doesn’t that just make you feel so good, to get complimented on one of your knits?

I did do a bit of planting this weekend– managed to get 6 small tomato plants, some cosmo, calendula, marigold and wildflower seeds in and some daffodil and tulips relocated. Hopefully they take off! Last year I waited too long to plant anything so we didn’t get much other than a few very small tomatoes.

I have worked a little on the Chickami with the Knitpicks Shine Twist, but spurred by my success in finishing the Sitcom Chic, I dug out Hourglass. When you saw it last, I had one sleeve attached and was working on the second. Well, I’m happy to say that both sleeves are attached and I’m actually almost FINISHED!! Woo hoo! Now why is it that I wait until it’s the wrong season to finish things? I finished my last chickami in November of last year after starting it in late July, and now I’m going to finish my Hourglass (made of wool, mind you) in May after starting it in January. As Homer would say, “D’oh!”

Edited to add: I updated my Yarn For Sale page, if you’re interested!
